Our team takes pride in their pivotal role in supporting families' paths to parenthood, while enjoying the meaningful and professionally rewarding nature of their careers. **The Role** We are looking to recruit a Phlebotomist to work on the "Bank" when required (zero hours contract). **Key Responsibilities**: - Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patients - Explaining the process of drawing blood clearly to a patient - Reassuring and calming patients who might be nervous or scared of the procedure - Registering the blood and storing it in the correct environment - Sending blood samples to testing laboratories - Updating patient records - Maintaining an organised and clean work area based on health and safety regulations and the guidelines of the medical institution - Provide reassurance to patients. - Look after the mental and physical wellbeing of the patients - Answering patient questions regarding collection techniques and offering additional resources on the collection process, if the patient requests them **Required Attributes/Skills/Experience**: - Exceptionally empathetic with a passion for patient service - Experience of dealing with patients face to face - Self-motivated and able to prioritise your workload - Excellent communication skills, diplomatic, tactful with the ability to deal with difficult situations - Organised and able to multi-task - Excellent time keeping - Excellent I.T.
