**Freight Forwarder**

**Wythenshawe, Manchester**

**£28,000 - £35,000 plus bonus**

**Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00**

I’m currently recruiting for a Freight Forwarder to join an up and coming international logistics company. They are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to support the company’s expansion plans.

- Previous freight forwarding experience is essential
- Experience of ocean imports is highly desirable
- Willingness to learn other modes of transport and evolve into a multi-modal operator
- Up to date knowledge of import regulations
- Have dealt with end-end logístical processes
- Experience of working within a fast paced shipping or logistics office
- Can do attitude taking responsibility
- Ability to see and grasp opportunities and develop lasting relationships with clients
- Genuinely passionate in finding solutions for clients
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workloads
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to clearly communicate
- Confident in decision making and negotiating

**Duties and Responsibilities;**
- Responsible for handing import shipments
- Handle import shipments from start to finish
- Managing the full shipping process from start to finish
- Completing customs entries from start to finish
- Handling of shipping documentation
- Ensure records are complete prior to processing, identifying any issues and amending
- Raising invoices and following up as required
- Providing quotations to clients and customers
- Work closely with clients, third party vendors, shipping lines and other forwarders
- Provide assistance with HMRC and client audits when needed
- Complete documentation for Import processes
- Complete customs clearance
- Liaising with Sister company with shared warehouse
- Ensure all documents provided by suppliers are correct & compliant
