Bank Imaging Administration Assistant

**Bank Imaging Administrator | Spire Little Aston Hospital | Sutton Coldfield | Medical Imaging Department**

Spire Little Aston Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Bank Administrator to join our dynamic and experienced Medical Imaging team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcoming, registering and booking appointments for all patients in a warm, professional and caring manner.
- Provide and maintain an efficient bookings system for all in and out-patients using a computerised system (SAP and RIS) for GPs, consultants and other users.
- Collate all necessary paperwork to enable radiographer/radiologist to undertake/report the examination.
- Responsibility for the efficient management of imaging bookings, liaising with department staff as appropriate.
- To present a professional, smart image at all times, ensuring adherence to the uniform policy.
- Manage the department phone calls in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Practice and maintain a high standard of confidentiality at all times and exercise absolute discretion in the use of all patient/consultant/staff information. Adhering to all Information Governance processes
- Maintain departmental electronic and manual filing systems accurately (RIS, Mammography paperwork)

- To undertake any training or development as required to acquire skills and knowledge to undertake role competently.
- To assist in the training of new staff as required.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the position as delegated by departmental manager.
- To present a professional, smart image at all times, ensuring adherence to the uniform policy.
- To undertake all work in accordance with company policy and procedures, ensuring familiarity with the Health and Safety at Work Act, including moving and handling and fire procedures.
- To work in a flexible manner at all times and cover annual leave/sickness of other team members within the imaging team.

Who we're looking for
- A personable individual with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Good basic PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous administration experience in a Medical Imaging/Clinical setting is desired
- Great communication skills at all levels
- Experience in a customer service environment

About the Team: Spire Little Aston Hospital is a purpose built private hospital which opened in 1985. We are a leading provider of private hospital treatments for our patients across the West Midlands and beyond, located in Sutton Coldfield and we employ around 350 staff. Our facility includes 34 inpatient rooms, a dedicated 2 bedded ERU. There are 3 laminar flow theatres, a purpose built endoscopy unit, outpatient services provided in 15 consulting rooms, and a state of the art diagnostic offering on site as well as Perform Physiotherapy providing excellent rehabilitation facilities.
