Our client is the UK's biggest commercial vehicle fleet business, managing and maintaining a fleet of circa 80,000 vehicles across 65 garages, looking after clients such as BT, the Post Office, the AA, and many more
They are offering an exciting opportunity for a Relationship Manager to join the business and become part of a growing team.
As a Relationship Manager you will work collaboratively across the Account Management team and Operations team, be able to lead remote and indirect teams and be the customer advocate within the business to promote a great customer experience and retain customersthrough driving added value, innovation and thought leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the management and governance of some of the strategic customers
- You will work with your customers to become a trusted advisor through a partnership approach
- Lead the retention and defence planning for your customer contracts, with a view to providing consultative support through any re tender/defence
- You will think strategically about partnership opportunities and solutions? for your customer(s)
- You will collaborate and communicate well with high-level stakeholders and decision-makers?
- Manage a continuous development plan with your customers, ensuring engagement and collaboration with all relevant key stakeholders within both businesses
- Proactively develop strategy with the customer - cost-saving, innovation, added value
- Work collaboratively with the leaders of other teams to provide a consistent high-quality experience for customers
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong communication skills for motivating teams
- 5+ years of Account Management
- Automotive/Vehicle/Fleet Management experience
- Excellent commercial acumen - understand the dynamics of commercial contracts
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels.
- Succeed in building effective stakeholder relationships
- Agile approach to strategy and planning with a proven experience of adapting operational plans
- High level of self-awareness and takes accountability where required
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
