Our client, based in Fife, are looking to add a Base Supervisor to their team.
- As Base Supervisor, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of Chemical and Oil Spill operations and associated activities.

**THE SUCCESFUL APPLICANT**- Previous experience in a supervisory/management role-
- Previous experience with servicing and repairing specialised mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment-
- Budget management, quality control and asset tracking experience-
- Be able to provide emergency response duties when required-
- Be able to organise and participate in BES emergency call out rota-
- Experience with pollution prevention measures and pollution control equipment-
- Flexible attitude towards working hours and providing support across departments-
- Full clean UK driving license**JOB DESCRIPTION**- Supervision and co-ordination of spill response, base and project activities.-
- Supervision and utilisation of all personnel and equipment assigned or contracted to support operational and project activities.-
- Responsible for ensuring maintenance of all assigned equipment and resources in accordance with company standards, procedures and statutory documentation requirements.-
- Provision of technical and operational input in the preparation of tenders, quotes, ongoing and planned response operations.-
- Responsible for a cost-effective operation whilst working within agreed financial limits.-
- Responsible for generation of financial, quality control and asset tracking documentation associated with operations and project tasks.-
- Identifying training needs of personnel and transfer of knowledge to ensure they maintain or achieve the required level of competency.-
- Provision of personnel and equipment in support of other group activities.-
- Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with the BMES Health, Safety & Environmental Policies, associated site safety regulations and good industry practice.-
- Be pro-active with the BMES Safety Management System and demonstrate safe working practices during all work activities.-
- Be responsible for the safe and proper storage and shipping of all equipment.-
- Actively participate, as part of a team, in accident/incident investigations as required.-
- Undertake training to comply with HS&E and HR requirements.-
- Perform Emergency Response duties as required.-
- Operate Pollution Response equipment in response to spills and incidents.-
- Mobilise and operate pollution containment and recovery systems.-
- Mandatory participation in the BES emergency call out rota as and when required and organisation of said call out rota.-
- Undertake overtime as and when required enabling BES to carry out their emergency and non-emergency response duties.-
- Responsible for ensuring that all items are maintained, ordered and purchased to fully comply with Company and Manufacturer’s requirement and meet all certification and specification criteria.-
- Provide accurate and timely information to the Operations Manager regarding equipment/materials status both at base and operational sites.-
- Provide required input to departmental meeting, planning activities and staff appraisals.-
- Promote ideas which will increase the efficiency (cut cost or time) without loss of service standards and present to the Operations Manager.-
- Develop Senior & Operator knowledge and skills to facilitate stand-in duties.**REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER**
