**Internal Auditor - Insurance**

This international group is a leading provider of Insurance and Reinsurance and have a great opportunity for an Internal auditor to join the team.

As the Internal Auditor you will report to the Internal Audit Senior Manager and spend the majority of you time completing the financial controls assessment. This will involve performing an independent and objective assessment over the design and effectivenessof internal controls. There will also be opportunities to get involved with the execution of internal audits.

Responsibilities will include:
Contribute to the financial controls process for the companies Internationals European/Asian operations, including:

- Arranging and taking part in the walkthroughs scheduled and map the existing processes to identifying any gaps,
- Ensuring that testing assigned is completed in a timely and efficient manner,
- Ensuring that testing executed is clearly documented in Teammate to substantiate the test of design, execution, and effectiveness of controls.

Contribute to the execution of the internal audit plan, participating on underwriting, claims, finance, and regulatory audits as required.
- Provide executable recommendations that improve operations, controls, and how the business is managed.
- Communicate audit observations, internal control deficiencies, and recommendations, including to senior management.
- Work with internal audit team members in other office locations on group-wide audits as required.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

- Audit experience with an insurance, reinsurance, or public accounting organisation.
- Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley / J-SOX programmes and reporting.
- Highly effective interpersonal & communication skills; ability to write clear and concise observations and reports.
- IT skills (Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and TeamMate experience desired).
- CIA / ACA / ACCA or similar professional qualification.
