Logistics Assistant

**Logistics Assistant**:

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will perform multiple daily administrative tasks related to inbound materials transportation and outbound orders shipping in collaboration with Warehouse Operations and Customer Care teams, with the objective to minimise transport costs while providing the necessary level of service to meet operational requirements and customer satisfaction.

**You will**:

- Perform a range of administrative activities to facilitate the accurate shipment of materials, equipment, products, packages, and documents.
- Coordinate the incoming and outgoing transport within an assigned area.
- Coordinate transport complaints and implement corrective solutions.
- Prepare and maintain shipping records; prepare bills of lading; computer responsibilities, tariffs, price conversions, weights, and volumes.
- Monitor the delivery of materials/products to inbound/outbound or customer warehouse(s) observing agreed/committed dates. Provide follow-up on shipments of essential materials.
- Improve and introduce flows related to transport and distribution.
- Communicate with external organisations (for example customs authorities or shipping agents) to verify customs requirements and negotiate shipping costs and times.
- Perform other general administrative tasks.

**You have**:

- Experience with shipping and receiving regulations and protocol
- Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety/security norms and regulations
- Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes
- Basic knowledge of production process flow and scheduling
- Overall work experience of 1 or more years in logistics in a manufacturing environment (4 or more years if high school diploma)
