- This is a great opportunity for an experience technical specialist to provide technical leadership and direction in support of our IT systems

- We’re offering a starting salary range from £38,000 - £50,000 for this role, depending on location
**What you'll do**:
As a Core Banking Systems Specialist, Middleware, you’ll be providing advanced technical leadership in the delivery of excellent service to our customers. We’ll look to you to do this through the delivery of one or more of our service management disciplines including incident management, problem change, capacity or configuration management.
You'll be part of a team that provides direct production support for RBSI’s core banking systems and customer facing internet banking portals, as well as providing, building and managing multiple test environments that support our change delivery teams as they deliver RBSI’s strategic change portfolio.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Acting with pace when recovering service, and with thoroughness when considering the risk to service
- Assisting with the continuous improvement of existing processes and procedures
- Engaging with a variety of senior internal and external stakeholders within technology and business areas
- Helping to develop your colleagues by sharing your technical expertise and knowledge
**The skills you'll need**:
You'll need a technical understanding including platform technology, covering Windows and Red Hat servers that will be running WebSphere Application Server (WAS), as well as an advanced knowledge of service management disciplines such as incident, problem, change IT, continuity or capacity. An ITIL 4 Foundation would be advantageous.
Additionally, you’ll bring:
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards toolsets and processes
- Knowledge and experience of operational principals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
