Join us as a Customer Support Specialist
- This is an opportunity to work in local communities and build lasting relationships, as you help customers to access banking services through a range of channels
- Provide multi-channel support for Customers in Vulnerable Situations, working with colleagues across all channels to provide great customer service and outcomes including referring to specialist support team
- Build and maintain relationships with Customers in Vulnerable Situations for as long as your support is required
- Be the public face of the brand within communities, developing a strong presence to become a trusted and influential person and maintaining the tradition of the bank being a pillar of the of the community

**What you'll do**:
In this key role, you’ll be an essential channel of communication to our customers. You’ll act as the public face of the brand within the multiple communities you operate, helping to equip them to self serve their future needs.

As part of your role, you’ll promote local activity and develop a strong presence, becoming a trusted and influential person. You’ll host regular events across the community to educate customers on becoming financially fit, living in the digital age and preventing fraud, working with local venues such as libraries to facilitate these.

Day to day, you’ll be:

- Utilising social media to increase your presence in the community, sharing useful and relevant financial and digital information and tips
- Engaging the community through channels such as charity events and social groups, educating customers on our services and the different ways to bank
- Conducting financial health checks with customers to identify opportunities to help them meet their financial goals
- Developing a strong working partnership with internal colleagues
- Taking ownership of resolving complaints and errors quickly

**The skills you'll need**:
Along with experience and knowledge of banking, you’ll have a proven track record of helping customers with a wide range of needs and services.

You’ll also demonstrate:

- A Professional Banker Certificate, with further professional banker qualifications desirable
- Good networking and profile-building skills
- Strong communication skills, with a experience of delivering presentations
- Excellent digital skills and an in-depth knowledge of current and future trends
- The ability to build rapport and trust with customers in a face to face environment
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- The ability to work effectively unsupervised
