**£19,317- £20,786 actual annual salary**

**Hours: 30 Hours per week**

**Contract: 30hrs Term Time + 5 Weeks working during School Holidays**

The Merchant Taylors’ Oxfordshire Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust currently consisting of Wallingford School, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell Primary School and Aylesbury UTC. The schools are successful, popular and are rooted at the heart of their local communities.

The approach taken by Merchant Taylors’ Oxfordshire Academy Trust (MTOAT) is to focus on delivering a high quality of education in a small number of academies. This strategy enables the MTOAT leadership team to place the maximum possible focus on each academy as it joins the MAT and is, we believe, particularly well-suited to helping struggling schools to address the issues theyface.

**Job Purpose**
- To have overall responsibility for the practical organisation of the day to day cleaning
- Ensure that the School is clean to the schools set standard by the team of cleaners and daily cleaning logs are completed for each work section.

**Responsibilities**

Operational
- Motivate and encourage staff to work efficiently
- Maintain cleaning staff attendance logs and timesheets for submission to the Finance Office
- To organise appropriate training for all cleaning staff.
- Investigate and maintain a working knowledge of developments in cleaning equipment and materials and to identify means by which the cleaning operation might be developed
- Supervise the Deep Cleans during the school year.
- Report any issues or damage to The Facilities Manager.
- Liaise with the Facilities Manager and review the weekly school calendar to identify lettings and school events.
- Carry out any Duties reasonably assigned by the School Business Manager or Facilities Manager, which fits with the scale and post holder’s skills and experience.

**Cleaning Team Responsibilities**
- To clean daily in allocated classroom areas, all floors, either by vacuuming or sweeping/mopping, empty all bins, dust surfaces.
- To vacuum allocated corridor and sweep/mop stairs.
- Assist in other areas of the school site as required.
- Restock and clean toilets in designated areas.
- To ensure that all waste/rubbish bins in corridor are emptied, assisted by the caretakers.
- To work during holidays for the annual deep clean of the school.
- To inform the Line Manager of incapacity to work prior to expected hours of work.
- To liaise with the Line Manager over summer holiday working hours and all tasks that must be completed within this time.
- Duties reasonably assigned by the School Business Manager of Facilities Manager, which fits with the scale and post holder’s skills and experience.

**Supervisor Day Responsibilities**
- Ensure a reporting system is in place for notifying building and furniture defects to the Facility Manager
- Ensure a timely stock re-ordering process is in place, looking at best value for the School
- Manage the cleaning contracts to include water management systems, sanitary disposal, toilet ancillary equipment and water fountains
- Ensure all toilet areas are fully replenished of toilet rolls, soap and hand towels
- To liaise with the Facilities Manager on a monthly basis over budgets and cleaning contracts
- To cover the Team Cleaning in their absence
- Carry out any Duties reasonably assigned by the School
