Here at Watkin Jones, we have an exciting career opportunity for an Acquisition Lead to join our high-performing acquisition team which sits within the wider Investment and Development team. The post holder would be responsible for driving forward an acquisitionhub to originate new development opportunities, undertake financial underwrites and legal negotiations for these sites working closely with the wider team taking the project through the planning process.This role leads on the delivery of Group strategy throughthe identification and acquisition of development sites encompassing BtR, PBSA, Co-Living and other sector the Group is involved with in line with key targets and performance metrics.

**About You**

You'll have experience of working in a Acquisitions Lead / Manager role and will have experience of working in the residential construction sector, and of following its relevant planning processes, rules, guidelines and best practice.

We're looking for someone who has knowledge of investment appraisals and commercial processes and has the ability to develop and advise on acquisition strategy and objectives with experience of maintaining networks of key contacts and working with multipleinternal and external stakeholders.

**The Acquisition Lead will**:
Liaise with the Chief Investment Officer and laterally across the Investment and Development team with fellow Acquisition Leads, Divestment and Planning to develop and provide market led insight to Group; Target Cities and Sectors, Product Development, CustomerFocus and Market Strategies.

Originate, screen and evaluate acquisition / development opportunities in line with the group target markets and leading the appraisal and acquisition process.

Lead on the bid and transaction process, taking responsibility for agreeing Heads of Terms, procuring legal and title reports and responding to key points accordingly, negotiating land contracts and overseeing the process of legal exchange and completion.

Manage the maximisation of asset value and net capital value for new development opportunity in line or in excess of target metrics.
