ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Scrum Master, you will be part of the Development team, facilitating the team’s progress toward team goals, across multiple products / projects at any one time. With an Agile development mindset, you will help teams identify process improvements anddrive continuous development.You will continuously work to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Ensure Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines
- Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
- Get the team to a high performing level by recognising areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
- Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
- Act as a leader who coaches and supports our Agile teams
- Ensure that the Definition of Done is being followed by the teams
- Support and educate the Product Owner on refining the product backlog and make them ready for upcoming sprints, enabling longer-term work visibility for reporting to delivery and management teams
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised with an emphasis on problem solving
- Support the team using a servant leadership style, and providing an aspirational example
- Influence others including those more senior on best practices in Agile
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Masters Degree in product design or engineering
- Certified Scrum Master, Certfied Scrum Master/Product Owner (CSM / PSM, CSPO, SAFe) or equivalent professional qualification
- 3+ years experience in Product Development
- Hands-on experience leading Agile environments of different maturities
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Experience of using Azure DevOps / Jira
