ABOUT THE ROLE:
Bytes are always looking to optimize customer experience and go to market faster. We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the charge on this mission with our Cloud Platform. As a Product Manager you will be part of the Cloud Product team. You will contributeto the ideation, development and release of features. You will be responsible for the Product Vision considering the company objectives and market changes.
With an Agile development approach, you will define the product strategy and roadmap, working with the Product Owner who will work to break this down into actionable tasks for the development team to execute those requirements. The role covers strategicand tactical works and must offer cross-functional leadership with departments such as the development / engineering team, marketing, customer service, and sales
- _Key Responsibilities:_
- Analyse and prioritise market and customer needs to develop present and future product lines
- Drive strategy based on long-term vision and solution development for the Cloud Platform
- Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
- Conduct research on how users utilise and enjoy a product to provide insight into customer feedback what works and what does not
- Define the key features, specifications and requirements of the product based on customer preferences
- Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, usage, revenue, and ROI
- Create a roadmap to keep the product team on the same page throughout the process
- Translate product strategy into more detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
- Ensure all release-ready deliverables are completed in adherence with committed timeframes
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our Cloud Platform and its features across primary market segments
- Assist with product launches and marketing campaigns
ABOUT YOU:
Qualifications & Experience:
- GCSE's (A-C) English & Mathematics
- Masters Degree desirable, but not essential
- 3+ Years experience in Product Development role essential
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum & Agile Software Development methodology
- Experience of using Azure DevOps / Jira
Core Competencies & Skills:
- Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
- Working knowledge of product development architecture
- Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
- Highly effective cross-functional team management
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Exceptional time management and organisation skills to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Experience with assessing vendors, third party services, and products
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs
- Ability to work with large teams
