As a result of North Bristol NHS Trust’s ongoing commitment to invest in and make effective and efficient use of existing and emerging people systems across the Trust, we are delighted to be seeking a talented People Systems Lead to work in our People Planning, Information and Systems team. This is an exciting time to be joining North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT). The Trust has made significant advancements in the digital space, allowing for improved automation and employee experience. As a result, this recently created role will present to you the opportunity to play your part in driving a collegiate approach to the how our people systems integrate.

This is a fantastic role that is ideal for an individual who has already made strides in their current systems and information role that combines best practice and continuous improvement across a broad range of processes, systems, and teams.

The post holder will use highly specialist knowledge to lead on the use and optimisation of people systems within the Trust. This includes:
1. Lead the design and implementation of operational and strategic improvements associated with people system use and interoperability. The post holder will use national policy, guidelines, and best practice to inform change focussing on continuous improvement to yield maximum benefit for the Trust
4. Provide the people systems link into the annual business planning process, having overall responsibility for ensuring data held within people systems supports business planning
5. Use specialist knowledge and skills to continually identify people system best practice from a wide range of external sources inside and outside the NHS. This includes the development and delivery actions to implement and embed changes in systems use

The post holder will need evolved leadership and influencing skills to promote the people systems agenda in the Trust and ensure the required outcomes for system use are achieved working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders including the management of relationships with system providers.

**Education and Qualifications**:
1. Educated to degree level

Knowledge and Experience
1. Experience of working with highly complex people systems
2. In depth understanding of NHS digital transformation agenda, focussing on people systems
4. Knowledge of how to present information and data to suit a range of audiences, understanding how it can be conveyed in an accurate but simple way
5. Experience of working under pressure to deliver accurate work to strict deadlines
6. Understanding of the benefits, limitations and sources of benchmarking people system use and supporting processes

Skills and Abilities
1. Ability to interpret, analyse and understand highly complex technical information relating to people systems and their interoperability with other systems and with each other
2. Report writing for a range of purposes including Trust Board, the Executive Team, Programme Board, and external partners
3. Extensive stakeholder management, influencing and leadership skills with a focus on bringing teams and wider stakeholders together to effect change and improvement
