**Salary**: Up to £95k per annum
The role of the People Solution Architect is to design and govern the People solution(s) landscape; ensuring that it enables our client's business strategy, aligns to the enterprise architecture and delivers high quality, effective, benefits driven and efficientsolutions.
The role has a dotted line to the Strategy and Architecture Technology Director to ensure the role aligns with the overall IT direction and standards. The role will therefore be also responsible for contributing to the architecture community, adding value tothe practice through continuously improving process, standards and sharing cross functional knowledge.
The initial focus of this role is owning the SAP Success Factors solution end to end architecture which will specifically control: Global HR processes and insight, Employee self-serve solutions and core employee/Identity master records which be integrated endto end with key foundational platforms which include SAP ERP (S4), payroll (various), Learning(various) and workforce management. The additional core focus for this role is on workforce management solutions which will include Sales and Labour forecasting,Time and Attendance, Planning and Scheduling.
Key responsibilities will involve:

- The immediate priority is to own the technical solution architecture of the Global People programme, relating to Success Factors. This covers the Core HR (Employee Central), Recruitment and Onboarding, Payroll (Success Factors ECP and other solutions dependenton country), Learning and other modules. The scope of this includes overall responsibility for end-to-end design and integration to Global or local solutions utilising MuleSoft and other platforms, where relevant and required.
- Responsible for architecting and designing People solutions to be Global, Scalable, Secure, Flexible, Useable and Resilient.
- Owns production of all high-level design deliverables for projects and programmes within the People solution area ensuring they are completed to time and quality, co-ordinating across business and IT functions to gain all required inputs
- Responsible for ensuring end to end solutions are designed cohesively identifying risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
- Responsible for design governance within People solution area, chairing the area Design Authority
- Responsible for architecture, design, build, test and handover of integration solutions within People Solutions area
- Provide technology innovation and insight within domain of responsibility
- Support the benefit and cost analysis of solutions being proposed ensuring SSP maximises value
- Responsible for effective design decision making within domain, escalating cross domain design decisions or issues to the Enterprise Design Authority when required
- Works with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure solution scope and transition approach is fully defined, understood and agreed
- Responsible for maintaining People solution area content within the enterprise architecture
- Provide input to our client's enterprise architecture process
- Consults regularly with IT staff and departmental users to evaluate if developed solutions are being used to their fullest advantage and yielding the greatest possible efficiencies.
- Regular travel inside UK (London and Birmingham primarily) and outside of UK where required in support of Global rollouts
Our ideal applicant will have/be:

- Strong understanding of Master & Transactional Data within a Retail environment
- Strong understanding of Workforce management solutions
- 5 plus years of experience as a solution architect in a large multi-country, multi-tier organisation
- Extensive implementation experience within an SAP Success Factors environment (Proven SAP functional and architecting experience) - They should also be an expert in at least one of the below functional areas:

- Core HR
- Payroll
- SAP Analytics Cloud
- Excellent understanding of the SAP product roadmap
- Experience of working within Hybrid SAP landscapes with SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Success Factors and other technologies such as SAP cloud platform and FIORI
- Knowledge of SAP Leonardo/Intelligent Enterprise capabilities desirable e.g. Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence etc
- Knowledge and experience of architecting, developing and managing integration platforms (e.g. Mulesoft)
- Strong understanding and experience in how to architect global solutions with local compliance
- Ability to provide direction and thought leadership to guide and advise in a complex systems environment with a strategic mindset
- Effective problem solving with ability to distil complexity into business challenges, opportunities and IT solutions
- Experience of managing and designing with partners and vendors
- Ability to communicate effectively across both business and IT stakeholders
- Ability to identify and manage risk
