Are you passionate about working in partnership to support high quality safeguarding arrangements for children and their family networks in Hull?

A rare opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSCP) as a Senior Safeguarding Officer. The position is for a 12-month fixed term period.

This is an exciting time to join the Hull Safeguarding Children Partnership as we continue to drive forward our agreed priorities, including supporting with the implementation of a whole-system approach to transforming our response to supporting children, as described within the Families First Partnership Programme.

We are excited about the opportunities that this will bring, to support children and young people to thrive within their family networks, through receiving the right support, at the right time.

Across Hull, strong partnership relationships exist between agencies who have a role in safeguarding, with a proactive commitment and motivation to continually improve. The HSCP Senior Safeguarding Officer role is pivotal in working closely with colleagues to strengthen and further develop safeguarding activity taking place across the partnership. Excellent communication skills, and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders across Hull, are imperative to ensuring an inclusive collaborative approach to improving the lives of children and their families.

Your role will include acting as a representative at multi-agency stakeholder groups, ensuring that your knowledge is continually updated and shared across the partnership in relation to emerging best practice, new policy and relevant research. You will support with quality assurance activity, including developing and sharing learning across the partnership to improve practice and provide consultation, coaching and detailed guidance to practitioners on safeguarding practice, policies and procedures.
