Digital Merchandising Executive

We are looking to recruit a Digital Merchandising Executive to join our Digital team based in Coventry. This is an exciting role, capable of delivering huge customer experience benefits as we revolutionise the homeware shopping journey for our customers.

What’s the opportunity?

The Digital Merchandising Executive is responsible managing the product online and to deliver best in class on site merchandising ensuring we are meeting the important needs of our customers and providing the best possible service.

**What does the role involve?**:

- Managing the process of up setting up products online, ensuring they are categorised correctly, have key attributes set against each product and are ultimately launched in a way that creates the best possible opportunity to sell
- Updating promotions in line with the overall trading proposition at ScS as well as managing the execution of Digital Trading activity and initiatives
- Working with agility, regularly setting up campaigns and being prepared to make regular changes and updates
- Nominating and boosting key products across listing pages based on commercial performance, customer interest and acting on trends
- Regularly shopping the website with a mobile-first approach ensuring all banners and links work and the customer journey is optimised
- Using creative to effectively merchandise the website, uploading banners and managing product carousels
- Using data across commercial metrics and behavioural analytics to drive continuous improvement online
- Constantly reviewing categorisation, taxonomy and navigation ensuring we are capturing key trends and providing a seamless experience
- Work closely with colleagues in the commercial teams and digital marketing teams to activate the trading plan and ensuring we are driving sessions and conversion to drive overall revenue
- Monitoring new product performance and products of interest that provide a lucrative commercial opportunity
- Identifying product opportunities and recommendations that support in upselling and cross-selling ScS vast array of products
- Becoming an expert in the world of Salesforce Commerce Cloud where the ScS product range is managed
- Think in a personalised manner using tools such as Dynamic Yield to provide personalised opportunities, recommendations, and A/B testing
- Support out of hours when the business requires

**Who are we looking for?**:

- A highly organised individual with the ability to work flexibly and with agility
- Passionate about building great online shopping experiences
- Excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Able to show creative flare whilst utilising commercial understanding to make decisions
- Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
- A great communicator, who can contribute effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Some experience of CMS platforms such as Salesforce would be advantageous
- Good understanding of digital analytics as well as being proficient Microsoft Excel
- A basic understanding of HTML and CSS
- Working knowledge of SEO and information architecture or hierarchy
- Experience in ecommerce is preferable, but not essential
