Assistant Management Accountant

My client are looking for an **Assistant Management Accountant** to join our Finance team.
The Finance team support, advise and allow the business to thrive. They are here to navigate the team through all financial decisions, from day-to-day management of cash flow and making sure everyone gets paid to owning relationships with investors, partnersand other key stakeholders. They are responsible, reliable and committed to being a trusted partner to both our colleagues and suppliers.
**We need you to help us**:
- with financial operations, including reporting, provisions, invoicing, accounts payable & receivable, cashflow control, stock control and fixed asset register
- assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness
- take responsibility for the sign-off of monthly sales figures and various other monthly reports
- take ownership of P&L overhead cost schedules including querying variances of actual costs to expectations
- prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations
- prepare quarterly royalty returns for review
- be the first line escalation point for sales ledger and purchase ledger
- prepare the bi-annual sales submissions
- assist with the year-end audit
- wider finance team and ad hoc project support as required
**What you'll need**:
- A 'Can do' attitude
- Ability to prioritise and organise your work in line with required deadlines
- Work effectively and supportively as part of a small team
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to influence and implement with both internal and external stakeholders
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts and supporting working papers
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT part qualified or equivalent
- Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, e.g. V-lookups and pivot tables
- Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 desirable
