TATLER is looking for a Digital Editor (maternity cover) to lead the brand’s digital team. The Digital Editor will execute a data-driven audience growth strategy across all digital platforms.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Idea generation and commissioning of content - especially by keeping a finger on the pulse of current events and delivering top-quality news, analysis and features for the website.
- Maximising the impact and reach of video content generated by TATLER’s team.
- Strategy creation and execution of data-driven growth tactics to increase readership, video views and social engagement on a 24/7 schedule of content.
- Own and lead regular analysis of TATLER.COM articles, feeding back to the Editor to optimise existing content and future output.
- Tracking of all key performance metrics; building weekly & monthly reports in addition to ad hoc investigations.
- Lead the TATLER team’s SEO efforts by providing regular advice both in real time and via regular team meetings.
- Act as the team’s eyes and ears on social, SEO and all analytics platforms, alerting the team to breaking events, trending topics and feeding into the editorial workflow to maximise traffic.
- Acting as an ambassador of the brand both internally and externally, which requires a confident, positive manner, a willingness to attend events out of hours and an understanding of the TATLER milieu.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

- Proven track record of outstanding journalism, including a keen understanding of the importance of witty headlines and clever standfirsts.
- Brilliant written and verbal communication skills.
- Mastery of social media channels and platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
- Proven experience using and acting on data collected from key analytics tools: Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics, Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics and others.
- Absolutely must have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic and an inquisitive approach.
