**Communication Officer**

Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for a Communication Officer on a contract basis until July with potential of extension. This role will be hybrid working.

Day Rate: £225 - £250 (Inside IR35) Via Umbrella

**The role**:

- The Communications Officer will contribute to the development and implementation of the communications and engagement strategy for rollout of Learn Ultra, our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) upgrade project across the organisation, to support learning and teaching, and the online spaces needed for hybrid learning at the organisation. The Learn VLE is the platform for all university teaching on-campus and online.
- They will manage the production of communications tools for key project milestones and the coordination and running of stakeholder events and user groups. They will identify and produce news stories and content for a range of company-wide digital publications to support project activities and engender wider support.
- The role will include making presentations to audiences of the staff, one to one meetings with senior lecturers and coordinating school engagement communications, which support the ongoing focus on training and support needs to continue to ensure a usable and consistent student and staff experience.
- They will develop, implement, manage and evaluate a mix of integrated communications activities in close consultation with the project team and colleagues across the organisation to maximise visibility of project and pilot activities.
**Desirable**:

- Experience of working in an academic/HE environment.
- Familiarity with using hybrid meetings software such as Zoom, Teams etc.
- Sensitivity to the range of diverse home and office working contexts which shape people's experiences and attitudes to hybrid working.
