As an Apprenticeship Support Officer, you will actively guide and support electrical, plumbing and other technical apprentices for the duration of their apprenticeship programmes. This will include responding to learner queries, completing regular learner performance and progress reviews, giving accurate information and keeping all records up to date. But achieving the highest standards of engagement, assessment and quality is only part of the challenge. You will also look beyond formal training issues to ensure that we are meeting equally high standards of health, safety and welfare. It’s all part of our determination to set the benchmark for apprenticeship training in the UK - and your performance will contribute significantly to achieving this goal.
Educated to at least GCSE level including English and Maths, you will need strong administrative skills and the ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Your attention to detail and good communication skills must be matched by a well-organised approach to work and the confidence to produce clear management information. Any experience working for an apprenticeship or training provider would be a real advantage, as would working with learners with special educational needs. And if you understand current safeguarding and Prevent frameworks, so much the better.
