Working within the Materials department, the Stores Team Leader is responsible for the efficient running of the Materials Team and activities. The objectives being to guide the team to the successful accomplishment of agreed targets and goals. These targets shall be measured by the following 'key performance indicators’, on time delivery (kitting, booking in and dispatch), stock accuracy, and productivity. A Stores Team Leader is expected to operate within a framework of procedures and specific targets in pursuit of overall department goals and objectives.

Previous experience of material handling, booking in and stock control an advantage. Good IT skills and record keeping essential. A good broad-based knowledge in the recognition and handling of electronic components and sub-assemblies required.

General Duties:

- To maintain the Materials Area to an acceptable standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
- Assisting with the upkeep and expansion of the Stock Management System with accountability and ownership for stock accuracy.
- Purchasing of consumables including minimum stock levels (chemicals, labels and solder etc.).
- Continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the stores area and throughout the business where possible.
- Ensuring any maintenance of equipment/vehicles is completed and recorded as required.
- To comply with the Company's Static Sensitive Device (SSD) requirements.

Goods In:

- Daily booking in and inspection of all material purchases
- Daily review and clearance of “kitting” status jobs.
- Accountability for traceability of stock linked to goods receipting notes.

Kitting:

- Preparing Works Order kits of materials to Production Teams ahead to scheduled start dates.

Despatch:

- Driving of Company van to complete deliveries and collection of goods.
- Preparing and scheduling products to be delivered by Courier as required.

This position is based on a 4-day working week, Mon-Thurs (39 hours per week)

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
