**Working Hours**: 48 hours per week, 4 nights including Friday & Saturday

**The Transport Supervisor role**:
Cotteswold Dairy, a long-standing family business with over 80 years’ of successful history is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join the Haulage team at the main Tewkesbury depot as a night-time Transport Supervisor. We process locally sourced milk, which is packaged at the Tewkesbury Plant and delivered to depots in Cheltenham, Hereford, North Wales and Shrewsbury - who then service our customers across the UK.

**Responsibilities as our Transport Supervisor**:

- Leading, supervising and motivating HGV Drivers, Tanker Drivers, Shunters and Banksmen to ensure operational and departmental goals are met;
- Controlling drivers’ start times and vehicle exit times by planning, organising and utilising resources effectively - ensuring the employee rota is issued, with holiday and sickness cover;
- Providing cover for other roles within the Haulage Department when required including banksman and shunter driver;
- Collating weekly/monthly transport information and data, and monitoring all vehicle inspection records to ensure compliance with operators’ license obligations and undertakings.

**Skills and attributes, we’re looking for in our Transport Supervisor**:
**Essential**:

- A clean UK driving license Category C+E, with experience driving and/or shunting Class 1 and 2 vehicles (Certain penalty points are permitted; however, all driving licenses will be checked);
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills;
- Have a keen eye for detail;
- Strong organisation and IT skills;
- The ability to act confidentially.
