**The Role of the HR Assistant**
The HR Assistant will provide efficient and effective support to the HR Team. This is a HR generalist role and will provide exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
**Main Accountabilities**
**Recruitment**:

- Liaise with hiring manager to ensure job advert is drafted appropriately
- Set up job vacancies on applicant tracking system - Teamtailor
- Advertise job specifications across a multitude of jobs boards/recruitment sites
- Ensure on expiry of the role the link is closed and advert removed from club website

**Onboarding**:

- Organise pre-employment checks (DBS, references, qualifications, RTW)
- Offer and new hire administration for all permanent and casual employees
- Collate new starter documents
- Send link to employee induction and handbook
- Liaise with IT to set up laptops and equipment for new starters
- Organise appropriate accreditation and site access
- Liaise with HR Manager regarding offer letter and employment contract
- Set new employee up on Medical Health Insurance, Pension and Health Care Plan and notify the broker of leavers

**Management of Systems and Processes**:

- Aid managers and employees with HR System - HiBob
- Arrange for probationary review forms to be sent to employee and manager
- Ensure HiBob is up to date and accurate

**General**:

- Create monthly payroll s/sheets and attend payroll meetings to ensure everything has been covered
- Liaising with internal payroll team regarding pay changes
- Probation process; manager reminders and letters
- Provide general day to day administration support (scanning, filing, photocopying, shredding)
- Apprenticeship administration with providers and apprentices
- Recording of training on the HR system

**Person Specification - Essential Personal Characteristics**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Outlook
- Confident working alongside senior executives
- A self-starter with a high level of initiative and proactivity
- Great communication skills with an ability to inspire and motivate others
- Uses initiative with mínimal supervision with the desire to proactively support the teams
- Can manage a heavy workload with strict deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills
- Flexible and willing to take on ad-hoc tasks
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
