The Lighting Consultants is an energetic automotive lighting specialist company in Redditch. We are looking to expand our team and take on an experienced Production Engineer to help us in these exciting times. The role requires a fresh thinking, dynamicindividual who can combine experience and enthusiasm to help us execute flawless delivery.

Our founding Director, Chris Eardley, was already well established as one of the key automotive lighting specialists. He realised that there is a better way to do automotive lighting, so now that’s what we do

We started our consultancy to help our customers get the products they need, and their end-users ultimately deserve. We have been a leading automotive lighting manufacturer for over 4 years

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and evaluate entire production process
- Support in the implementation of new production lines, including test rigs
- Contribute to production planning and budgeting
- Maintain internal adherence to company quality procedures
- Support customer and internal PPAP requirements
- Writing, ownership, and management of SOP’s
- Lead and monitor quality assessments
- Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders
- Liaise with our clients and suppliers
- Lead the cross-functional production team
- Support tooling programs
- Develop our culture using MBM principles
- Travel will be required on occasions to support off-site meetings

**Required Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of production experience, ideally in the automotive industry
- An understanding of ISO 9001:2015
- TAKT analysis
- Working knowledge of production line equipment
- Great communication, organisational, mentorship, and leadership skills
- Understanding of electromechanical production techniques
- Experience in automotive lighting would be preferable
- Sound understanding of mechanical and electronic components
- Full appreciation of the plastic injection moulding process
