**The Clapham Day Nursery & Pre School** which is part of Family First Day Nurseries are looking for a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join their team. We are rated Good by Ofsted and have a warm, friendly, home from home feel within the setting where children are supported by a caring and professional team of childcare practitioners. As a Nursery Room Leader you will be required to work 40 hours per week with a starting salary of £25,500 per annum.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Communicate with impartiality and consistency, respecting parent/carers’ expectations and seek guidance from management if in doubt
- Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
- Report any child safeguarding or protection matters, including allegations and serious accidents/injuries to management
- Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children

and staff on EyMan system and on file
- Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as

a role model with impartiality and consistency

**Requirements and skills**:

- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification
- Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating

**Salary**: From £25,500.00 per year

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Clapham, SW8 3BW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Nursery: 1 year (required)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification (required)
