The post holder will provide support for all clinical and non-clinical systems configuration and testing whilst analysing system functionality through the utilisation of tools and processes. They will support and facilitate specific areas of system enhancement identifying the impact on functionality and work with IT change staff during deployment to ensure smooth release into operational use. They will also undertake the configuration of system modules, develop complex and bespoke system requirements and update systems appropriately according to the needs of the Trust and system users. The post holder will act as first point of call in relation to all systems queries for both clinical and non-clinical systems and will assist in the retrieval, collation, presentation and dissemination of data from any system and ensure the realisation of benefits identified from the introduction of systems changes and related solutions through appropriate testing and user feedback.

Applicants must be educated to degree level or relevant experience within a similar role, have a qualification in Systems Management and be ITIL v3 Foundation qualified. Applications will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and have the ability to analyse a wide variety of complex situations/information and make decisions within agreed guidelines.
Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills and have specialist knowledge of information systems such as PAS systems, EDRMS and clinical systems and be able to operate and maintain management information systems. Applicants must be able to work on own initiative without supervision with the ability to solve problems in an appropriate manner, have an analytical approach to problem solving and have excellent attention to detail.
Applications must have experience of using Microsoft office packages and working with business critical systems and have the ability to time manage and prioritise workload and work effectively as a team member.
