**Job Summary** **Brighton College is seeking to appoint a Lower School Admissions Coordinator.** **Reporting to**: Director of Admissions **Main purpose of the role**: The role of the Lower School Admissions Coordinator demands exceptional communication and administration skills, energy, and enthusiasm, together with a determination to deliver the College’s Lower School pupil recruitment targets. **General Duties and Responsibilities**: Direct responsibility for Lower School and 14+ overseas admissions, ensuring that targets for registrations and final acceptances are achieved: - Providing effective and efficient management of enquiries from prospective parents, replying to queries, advising on scholarship and other admissions criteria. - Organising individual visits for prospective families, providing them with a positive experience of the College. - Organising programmes for scholarships and events such as The Primary Schools’ Quiz, Taster Days and other social events for prospective parents and pupils. - In association with the Head of Lower School, managing and implementing the examination assessment and interview process for prospective pupils, including scholarships. - Working alongside the 13+ Senior Coordinator to ensure consistency across entry points and to maintain close links with feeder schools. - Liaising with overseas prospective parents and agents as required and organising their assessments. - Maintaining the iSAMS database, ensuring it is up to date and accurate and producing reports as appropriate. - Attending Open Mornings and other events, as required. - Updating annually all literature connected with Admissions to the Lower School. - Keeping up to date with HMC and other key guidelines. - Supporting the Admissions Department and deputising for other members of the Admissions team when required. - Maintaining accurate Excel spreadsheets at all times and ensuring that all essential information is stored effectively and efficiently. - Any other reasonable management request. **Person Specification**: - Good time management skills - Positive collaboration, with an ability to bring out the best in those around them - An infectious "can do" attitude - Excellent interpersonal skills including communicating effectively both verbally and in writing - The ability to work within a team with a flexible and adaptable approach - A warm and professional manner - An enthusiasm for achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service - Excellent administrative skills - Good IT literacy with excellent Word and Excel skills - Systems experience on iSAMS or other school or customer database would be an advantage - The ability to work on their own initiative and to prioritise a workload **Hours of Work**: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a 60 minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week).
