**The Role**
**People Advisor**:
- Supporting the maintenance & improvement of the policies and processes of the employee life cycle.
Facilitating the provision of well-being support for both colleagues and managers. Upskilling managers in the people processes and the management of their teams.
Supporting the payroll and reviews process.
Advising on people-related matters and trends within your findings.
Assisting members of the team in their development.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Providing advice and guidance to managers to effectively improve workforce management, with the management of holidays and planning.
- Using HR information to identify trends and providing proactive solutions to overcoming them.
- Identifying development needs for Managers.
- Dealing with various “People” queries throughout the business, managing the mailbox
- Managing colleague relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have, and managing their expectations.
- Monitoring, reviewing, and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation.
- Leading on various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
- Advising managers on organisational changes that support operational needs.
- Conduct exit interviews, review data, provide reports, and suggest improvements.
- Supporting the payroll process, ensuring adherence to the timetable, and completing reconciliation checks with the People and Culture Manager
- Reviewing overtime with Managers, ensuring this is proportionate and managed appropriately.
**Essential Experience**
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and legislation.
- Ability to coach peers within Employee Relations (ER) management.
- Excellent communication skills
**Desirable Experience**
- Experience coaching/ training
- Experience payroll processes
