**Annual Wage = £17,111.64**
We are offering **£10.55** per hour for the **80%** of the time where work is completed within the service, and National Apprenticeship Minimum Wage of **£4.81** for the **20%** off the job/admin time
Working week is Monday to Friday predominantly, in rotating shift patterns as below: 7am-3pm; 3pm -11pm (depending on age) Some Weekends will be required to suit the people we support but will be agreed prior to acceptance and start date
**What will the apprentice be doing?**
The day-to-day role of a Support Worker is very varied and fulfilling, as well as challenging. Whilst not Care work, Support Work is equally as important to the mental well-being of those we support.
Working with people we support, the average day would consist of:
- Helping with shopping/finances etc
- Taking the people we support out and about in the community, such as cinema, bowling, day trips etc
- Helping with their personal care (if you are 18+ - this consists of potentially helping with showering, brushing hair, teeth, makeup etc)
- Interacting with friends and family of the people we support positively
- Completing all relevant paperwork for the person you are supporting and helping colleagues where needed
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
Full training on the basics is given through our extensive online and face-to-face training programme, but the successful applicant will complete the Level 2/3 in Healthcare NVQ whilst on the job, with 20% (1 day for full time) being put aside to complete any set work by the NVQ Apprenticeship Coach OR learning a new skill/task that will benefit you and your Apprenticeship in the long run.
**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**
Progression into a permanent, full time role within the Charity.
Within this role, there is the potential to progress to a Senior Support Worker and to move onto a different service within the Charity, if applicable.
