Sportfit is a successful, well-established provider who is opening up a 3-4 bedded children’s home.
We are currently looking for dedicated, caring Support Workers to join our team near New Milton.
Children will be provided with 1:1 support during the day so that they can form positive attachments with adults without the need to compete for their attention with others. Children are typically aged between 13-18 and experience anxiety, mental health difficulties and occasional emotional distress. They are supported by nurturing staff who provide them with the love and security they need to grow, develop and recover from past experiences.

- Support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects in the home including cooking, cleaning and finances.
- Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
**What experience or qualifications would I need?**
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is desirable; however training will be available.
- Experience of supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment, or similar youth worker experience.
- You will be compassionate, resilient, committed to being a positive role model and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Flexible and able to work a residential care rota which includes evening, weekends and holiday periods and sleep ins.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence.

A typical working week would be 40 hours (2 x 15hrs shift and 1 x 10hrs shift) regular one sleeping in duty. The hours are usually worked over three days throughout the week including weekends.
