Russell-Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for an individual with an electrical/electronic background to join a global testing company in the Surrey. This role is open to Test Engineers with experience in life safety products (e.g. extinguisher systems,sprinklers, alarm systems and video smoke detection). As a Test Engineer you will be working across all departments within Electrical and Electronics, providing technical support to operations, sales, and marketing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and complete test projects.
- Assess technical documentation and processes against standard requirements.
- Provide project updates to the team, clients, and management.
- Review test reports from other test engineers.
- Support and train other test engineers.
- Ensure tests are completed within set timeframes.
- Provide technical support to the business.
- Attend external customer calls and meetings.
- Assist management in order to maintain laboratory accreditations.

**Skills/ Qualifications**:

- Experience in developing, manufacturing, or testing of life safety products.
- Understanding of EN54 standards including EN14604 and EN50291.
- Knowledge of the construction products regulation (CPR).
- Able to work for or with independent laboratories testing LSS products to relevant standard requirements.
- Experience in evaluating technical documentation.
- Ability to manage your own project workload working directly with customers.
- Work independently or within a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Able to commute to Leatherhead daily.
