**HR Advisor/ Business Partner**
I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Mole Valley who are looking for a HR Advisor/HR Business Partner for 6 Months Initially.
The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying up to £22.14 PAYE per hour. The role is in scope of IR35.

**Job Purpose**
- As part of the HR and OD team, to provide a comprehensive, value added HR service in line with the Council's policies and employment legislation.
- To provide advice and support on casework, change projects and performance management, to facilitate appropriate management of organisational risk.
- To proactively seek and implement improvements in the HR service to enable delivery of the Council's objectives.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To attend staff engagement and management meetings and update the Strategic Lead of HR and OD and members of the team as appropriate.
- To maintain an up to date and sound working knowledge of employment law in order to be able to provide general advice and guidance.
- To be a fully integrated and supportive member of the HR team, providing advice, guidance and contribution as appropriate to the wider team, assisting with recruitment or policy queries when necessary.
- To carry out such other duties as may be required by the HR & OD Business Partner, appropriate to the post.
- To be aware of the Council's policy on Risk Management and to escalate any new, emerging or potential risks to the post holder's line manager.
- Carry out such duties as may be required by your manager and the Development Manager as appropriate to the post
- To ensure that all necessary data is provided in an accurate, reliable and timely manner, and is fit for purpose in accordance with the Council's Data Quality Policy.
- Health and Safety - to work in accordance with the Council's commitment to provide a healthy and safe working environment including the promotion and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.

**Skills & Knowledge**
- Some experience of working in local government, or able to demonstrate a good understanding of the specific challenges of this environment.
- Proven track record of working as part of an HR team closely integrated with the organisation, providing general HR advice on a wide range of employee related matters to employees and line managers.
- Substantial casework and restructuring experience. (Experience gained within a public sector environment is desirable)
- TUPE experience both transferring in and out of employment
- Able to demonstrate continued professional development in relation to general HR and employment law matters
- Active membership of the CIPD with qualification to a minimum Associate level (or equivalent)
