Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with one of the largest and best performing educational establishments in Warwickshire as they look at continuing to expand with a new member of one of their finance teams
The Role:
This Accounts Assistant role sits within the Procurement team. You will contribute to the smooth running of the day-to-day activities of the Procurement and wider Finance team. You will also deal directly with and provide 1st line support to internal and externalstakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

- Support, advice and guidance on procurement related queries to the business in compliance with internal and legislative regulations and best practice.
- Support on procurement projects and activities that will include spend analysis, cost-benchmarking, preparing procurement documentation and utilising e-procurement systems.
- Managing the Supplier Management system, including the sourcing of suitable suppliers, setting up and maintaining supplier records, carrying out regular reviews of approved suppliers, cost benchmarking, and due diligence assessments.
- Maintain customer records including, but not limited to, setting up new records, carrying out associated due-diligence checks, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of electronic records.
- Managing the Central Contracts Register, ensuring records are complete, accurate and up to date.
- Accurately and timely record and process all financial transactions including Income and Non-Pay transactions received and maintain/reconcile the physical and electronic cashbook on the finance system.
- Raise all invoices in a timely manner and ensure debtors are chased on a regular basis to minimise debt-collection days and irrecoverable debt.

The Person:
This company are looking for someone with a willingness to learn and develop within the role. Other desirable attributes will be:

- A good base knowledge of Procurement.
- +1 years of experience in a finance office (can include placement year)
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong communicational skills.
- The ability to build meaningful internal and external relationships.
