Are you an experienced kitchen assistant?

We are currently seeking an experienced kitchen assistant based in Tadworth to assist in a supported living facility.

**Position: Kitchen Assistant**
**Location: KT20, Tadworth**

**Salary**: £12,00 p.h**
**Job Type: Temp**

**Requirements**:

- Child/Adult DBS on Update Service.
- UK Passport/Right to Work (skilled worker VISA's need not apply)
- 5 Years of professional references
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Minimum Level 2), Food Temperature Controls, and have knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety Awareness.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in preparing ingredients for meals, such as washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and instructions from the cook or chef. Support the cook or chef in the cooking process by performing tasks such as stirring, mixing, and monitoring cooking times.
- Help plate and serve meals to residents, ensuring portion sizes are appropriate and presentation is appealing.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning counter tops, sweeping, and mopping floors. Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Assist in monitoring kitchen inventory, including checking stock levels, unpacking deliveries, and storing food and supplies properly.
- Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, following recycling and waste disposal guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper storage of ingredients, monitoring food temperatures, and preventing cross-contamination.
