Global Store Design Manager

This is a key role promoting Charlotte Tilbury Beauty success by managing key store design projects. This involves producing design packs and managing projects from initial creative concept to store opening.

**Role Accountabilities**:
- Lead Charlotte Tilbury’s brand codes across all Store Design elements, expressing the strength of the brand aesthetically and commercially. Prepare floor plans, Shopfront elevations, and renderings to support new distribution across different markets.
- You will be required to manage various processes across the design stages from creating the best layouts, maximizing brand expression in a new store, monitoring creative development, technical drawings, approvals, costs, and opening schedules.
- You will be working with the brand creator, Charlotte Tilbury and translating her vision and unique expertise on how to communicate with customers, having great opportunities to contribute across different sectors of the business.
- Develop expertise in all design concepts for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Inc. Including special projects as assigned (Pop Ups, Events etc.).
- Ensure design standards and concepts are maintained in all architectural details.
- Responsible for preparing and managing design pack for internal approval and external /retailers sign of process
- Assist in development and updates to design standards guidelines.
- Perform material and detail research with suppliers and consultants for architectural store design elements with consideration to construction standards, maintenance, operations, and procurement needs.
- Organize, update, and archive all project documentation.
- Communicate effectively via verbal and drawing skills; understand and tailor presentations to the audience.
- Review and approve manufacture drawings for design integrity and safety standards for assigned projects.
- Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projects.
- Attend installation of new concessions and stores monitoring standards and snagging issues.

**Requirements** -Multiple years of of architectural and/or Interior design experience, with an emphasis on in retail design
- Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design required from an accredited program
- Proficient sketching and rendering skills to communicate ideas
- Excellent ability to think spatially and visually, understand flow and proportion of spaces as well as form and function of fixtures, and translate ideas into cohesive design concepts based on own understanding as well as the needs/requests of related business partners.
- Proven ability to prioritize projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Excellent graphic presentation skills.
- Vectorworks and SketchUp proficiency required. Adobe Creative Suite experience strongly preferred. 3D rendering a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of accessibility and building codes a must.
- Experience in managing the approval process for retail stores in all types of environments (new stores, existing stores, historic street-facing buildings, etc.).
- Understanding of basic construction required.
- Decisive problem-solving skills with regards to construction materials and methods a must.
- Awareness of design trends and materials.
- Excellent project planning and time management skills.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and with team. Ability to work collaboratively and drive team success.
- Exceptional eye for detail and great vision on how to use spaces and commercial opportunities.
- Skilled in the visual, written and verbal communication of design issues.
- Ability to balance design, with operational needs and budget objectives resulting in exceptional store environments and customer experience.
