We are delighted to offer the opportunity to work as part of a busy professional team providing security management guidance and support throughout the trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Trust’s Fire & Security Team in providing advice, support and expertise as a Security Risk Officer, so as to ensure the continued high standards of compliance within the Trust.

The post holder will work closely with staff throughout the Trust in identifying and managing security risks and promoting excellent security practice to all Trust staff within a large and agile organisation.

Effective liaison and communication with Trust Staff, suppliers, manufacturers and outside organisations in relation to all aspects of security management; procurement, maintenance, training, investigation of incidents, device training and working collaboratively with other colleagues in the fire and security team.

Acts as an information resource for trust staff and external agencies, responsible for sign posting colleagues to the most appropriate service to assist with security management utilising strong skills of negotiation and influence.

Site security survey reports and findings, security data analysis, security training data analysis

Presentations delivered by both verbal and graphical delivery methods to a wide range of audiences.
The post holder will provide expertise, advice and support to Trust staff regarding Security, safety and training.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the Accredited Security Management Specialists (ASMS’s) to ensure that Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust meets its obligations under security law by developing, implementing and reviewing robust security management systems, policies and procedures.

The post holder will facilitate excellent security management and practice throughout the Trust including raising awareness and working with staff and senior managers to reduce the Trust’s exposure to all risks, and advising managers to ensure a secure and safe environment for all Trust staff, patients and visitors.

1. Provide the trust with specialist guidance in CCTV provision and monitoring to ensure trust complies with current best practice (Information Commissioners Office ICO CCTV’s Code of Practice) and complies with General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) requirements.
2. Provide the trust specialist guidance in access control equipment, relevant software and monitoring system in line with BS EN 60839 - 11 2013
3. Provide advice, support and training on all aspects of security.
4. Contribute to the departmental business plan annually.
5. Provide advice, support and training in the production of and distribution of security access control and ID badges being produced by the Estates Administration team.
6. Develop and maintain access control database (SALTO system) and ID badge database.
7. Log the investigation and learning from security incidents including Serious Untoward Incident (SUI) investigation and input into the SUI panel as appropriate.

**8. Record actions identified and undertaken to**: decrease the risk of security-related incidents occurring and improve outcomes in relation to patient, staff and visitor safety.
9. Support the development of, monitor and review procedures to promote and develop best practice security systems for the Trust, liaising with appropriate managers and ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities.
10. Liaise and communicate effectively with all Trust staff in relation to security policies, procedures and guidelines, ensuring that all staff are aware of their statutory responsibilities.
11. Provide advice, consultation and support to managers and staff as part of the overall approach to risk identification and reduction (in numbers, probability and impact) of security incidents.
12. Support and contribute to the development of the Estates Compliance Risk Register, ensuring best practice at all times in the management of adverse events and the implementation of action plans whilst supporting staff and managers in devel
