**Police Community Support Officer**

Lancashire Constabulary is recruiting for Police Community Support Officers to work within our Lancashire communities; we are particularly looking for individuals who would like to work in either the East or West of the county.

We are looking to recruit local people from, and for, their local communities - we have PCSO's working all across Lancashire, from Fleetwood on the coast to Whitworth on the GMP border, and from the Ribble Valley bordering rural North Yorkshire right over to Skelmersdale in West Lancashire.

Lancashire Constabulary is committed to local community Neighbourhood Policing, Police Community Support Officers are at the heart of this commitment. Police Community Support Officers are an integral part of the local Neighbourhood Policing team, working with partners and the community to reduce crime, the fear of crime and preventing vulnerability.

Police Community Support Officers, are provided with a uniformed, you will also have designated powers (training covers the designated powers), but most importantly Police Community Support Officers engage with their communities, problem solve in their communities and target the biggest local problems, they are often the local face of their policing patch responding to calls within the community.

If you have excellent communication skills, desire to contribute to your local community as part of the policing team, can adapt to changing situations, and have a positive attitude to the work that they do, then you are the person we are looking for to help us deliver our commitment to communities.

The posts are full time permanent although part time and flexible working arrangements will be considered on an individual basis following successful completion of training.**Our reference**: SE3430

**Salary**: £22,671 - £22,351 per annum (£25,851.95 - £31,188.60 with Shift allowance & Weekend Working)

**Hours**: Full time, 37 hours per week
