Job description
We are looking for an experienced Project Support Officer with a drive and enthusiasm and a willingness to learn to work within a multi-disciplinary team to support project manage complex and innovative areas of work.
Sheffield’s Neurodiversity Programme is an ambitious cross sector transformation programme which aims to transform the whole system around how we support neurodiverse children, young people and families, and includes a range of workstreams that will drive change.
You will work with the Business Change Manager and a multi-agency team to support a programme of change using project management methodology.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has
- A practical working knowledge of project management and change methods and tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work proactively
- Experience and ability to use data and present information
You will be working in fast paced project team that will engage proactively with practitioners and specialists in education, care, health, and the voluntary sector to:
- Test and learn from innovative and new ways of working as a system to support children and families
- Develop evidence-based proposals for new models
- Manage the implementation through project and change lifecycle methodology

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
