About Regional Delivery (RD)

RD is a large, complex and geographically dispersed operation within the DIO covering circa. 58,000 assets, across over 500 sites and 275,000 Ha of freehold and leasehold estate in the UK and a further 580,000 Ha overseas; with a multitude of £multi-million contracts to manage. We deliver soft and hard FM services - building, maintaining, and servicing - across the majority of MODs built assets in the UK and overseas; hard and soft FM services across MODs Training Estate, including feeding, accommodation, range bookings, targetry support, management of the rural training estate and tenanted estates; administration of UK and Overseas utility contracts, bill payments, and recoveries; and management of the USVF Built Estate comprising c.4503 assets.

About RD Centre of Excellence (CoE)

The CoE allows Regions to focus on Regional responsibilities by leveraging knowledge from across RD and DIO supporting functions to develop better solutions. It is responsible for cross-cutting activities across our customers and delivers a programmatic approach to provide enhanced support. The CoE embeds more agile ways of working, develops lean processes and supports defining and realising continuous improvement opportunities. It works across multiple stakeholders to gain insight, share and implement considered Learning from Experience, and provide consistent and coherent advice and strategic direction.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
The Project Support Team within RD CoE holds a broad portfolio of high-value programmes in support of Digital, Asset Management, Infrastructure Delivery and Business Improvements. An integrator function which offers a great opportunity for self-development, working across all areas of the CoE and wider DIO to deliver key priorities with direct links to Defence level strategic priorities.

Due to the nature of the role, weekly travel across the UK will be required with at least 1 day per week at DMS Whittington.

The Single Living Accommodation (SLA) Asset Management Lead will undertake an exciting new role of embedding Asset Management practices across RD, with a focus on SLA and improving the lived experience for our customers. Acting as an integrator across DIO's Strategy and Plans Team, Facilities Management suppliers, and RD teams to drive and cohere key activities which underpin our Asset Management ambitions.

As an experienced individual in the delpoyment of digital products and a background in Facilities Management, you willl be very much in a hands-on role with a focus on delivery. This role will drive behavioural change in the approach to Infrastructure Asset Management through weekly site visits, covering the UK Built Estate and Overseas.

Change Management will be a key element of the role, developing, maintaining and deploying training packages with targeted learning outcomes and measureable benefits. Identifying, recording and managing feedback from site teams to drive iterative improvements to Asset Management related tools.

The role also offers opportunities to support across the Project Support Team in the coherence of National Infrastructure Programmes with a clear remit against Sustainability.

Working at the heart of a high-profile and diverse portfolio, the SLA Asset Management Lead will be responsible for:

- Cohering Asset Management activities across all areas of Regional Delivery, maintaining alignment with DIO’s Capability Asset Management Team and Strategic Planning Function.
- Championing the implementation of Asset Management practices across Regional Delivery, taking a robust approach to managing change into business areas.
- Leading and developing Asset Management practices and process through engagement across Regional Teams, CoE functions
