**About the Role**
An exciting opportunity has arisen on a full-time permanent basis. Supporting our Sales Director and Team, this role is focused on identifying, developing and maintaining new business from the MICE market, developing incentive travel itineraries and activities and building relationships with Scottish (Edinburgh) based DMC’s.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Produce targeted sales plan to achieve or exceed group room nights & revenue goals, as outlined in Resort financial plan.
- Develop existing corporate and agency relationships in order to maximize opportunities and encourage repeat, group and individual room nights and revenues.
- Collaborate with our Sales Director and Team to increase room nights and resort revenues from both the Scottish market and internationally.
- Identify, research, develop and maintain new client relationships and opportunities to increase the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa’s visibility across the MICE segments within defined sales territories.
- Deliver group business from the Edinburgh corporate market and drive enquiry levels from Edinburgh based Destination Management Companies.
- Participate within industry member organisations and DSA partnerships specific to the MICE segment.
- Lead strategic process improvement initiatives as determined by Director of Sales
- Accompany and entertain clients during site inspections of DSA where appropriate: potential new business, FAM trips, journalists and media.
- Identify and attend industry events and shows for inclusion in the Sales Calendar of Events.
- Update Sales CRM with all sales leads, accounts, appointments, appointment notes and subsequent actions.
- Provide consistent and timely delivery of communication and services to clients and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Complete monthly business report on sales achieved versus targets and sales activities.
- Achieve and maintain exceptional knowledge of all Kohler Hospitality & Real Estate businesses: history, business operations, services offered, amenities, etc.
- Achieve and maintain knowledge of competitor set.
- Manage and control monthly expenses, submitting in line with the Sales Expenses SOP.
**About You**
You will be an enthusiastic, confident and driven individual with exceptional written and oral communication skills and a proven track record of delivering results. Effective presentation abilities, excellent listening skills and the ability to multi-task are key skills to being successful in this role. Ideally, you’ll come from a 5 star or luxury hospitality background and have strong commercial and industry knowledge.
A valid driving license and own transport is essential for this role, to travel locally and internationally attending sales calls and tradeshows.
**Salary**
This role is a permanent full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm with flexibility for travel, where appropriate and hybrid working is offered.
A competitive salary from £30,000 is offered, depending on experience plus car allowance and a bonus structure (paid quarterly).
