**Location - Barrow**
Exciting opportunity for a **day-based **Asset Leader to join our team in Barrow.
You will be responsible for ensuring that asset(s) operate safely with the correct quality to deliver the budgeted rate of operation.
The Asset leader leads a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Electrical and Process Engineers and technicians, as well as providing daily direction to the operating teams. You will ensure that the necessary operational needs are progressed through to completion, to enable assets to achieve published standards.
The role holder will also **champion** effective two-way communication between operations and engineering and lead operational improvement plans. The asset leader will benchmark reliability and provide operational priorities to the engineering planning and scheduling process.
The role holder reports to the Operations Manager. Objectives are focused at sustain and improve.
Assets typically $2.0 million to $20 million.

**The Role**
- Delivers high safety standards, ensures compliance with company and country regulations.
- Contribute to the site wide Safety Strategy and drive the implementation of on-going safety improvement plans.
- Ensuring safety mind-sets and behaviours are re-enforced; challenge, feedback, reporting and implementation.
- Has a working knowledge of all relevant Corporate Financial Instructions and the K-C Code of Conduct.
- Works to achieve the corporate vision for environmental responsibility, in compliance with all the applicable laws and regulations.
- Supports the ongoing development of their team of direct reports.
- In partnership with the operations leader, is responsible for establishing the operational priorities and developing improvement plans, tracking progress of actions through to completion.
- Ensures that the problems identified during daily production meetings are solved according to the priority and fed back to shifts accordingly.
- Provide a hands-on technical support to the operation if required.
- Works with the Asset Engineering team and Site Reliability team in developing daily and weekly work schedules to ensure operational needs are appropriately prioritised.
- Provide the operational input into setting order and priority of the backlog worklist.
- Provides the business requirement input for shut planning.
- Works in collaboration with Senior Process Engineers to develop improvement plans for product and asset, and support development of Process Engineers and technicians.
- Works with others to deliver improved asset reliability through reduced levels of waste, delay and speed loss.
- Works to identify and lead opportunities for improving asset capability. (Process and equipment) Root cause problem solving and swift resolution of issues identified.
- Ensures good two-way transfer of information between days and shifts, including updating the shift resources with any developments or improvements to the assets.
- Maintains a good understanding of industry developments in assets and technology
You will have experience within one of the functional areas of a manufacturing facility such as converting, tissue mill operations, maintenance or engineering and hold a bachelor’s degree.
