Senior Multi Discipline Support Engineer Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Multi-Discipline Support Engineer to support our client’s Operations and Maintenance team on a fixed‑term contract basis. Hybrid working – 3 days working from client’s site at Barrow‑In‑Furness, Cumbria. Responsibilities Monitor and manage equipment/system performance ensuring reliable, efficient operation. Provide discipline engineering support to assets and asset maintenance engineers. Prepare and review technical controlling documents. Set and review equipment maintenance strategies. Collaborate closely with the Technical function. Key Responsibilities Accountable for the delivery and quality of Instrument / Mechanical equipment. Accountable for Instruments engineering MOCs and resulting modifications; ‘customer’ for engineering Brownfield modifications projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery that meets asset requirements. Deliver clear direction and assurance for compliance with statutory legislation on Major Accident Hazard management. Recommend and execute Instrument improvement initiatives and engineering studies on behalf of the asset. Provide optimised preventative maintenance programmes for Instruments equipment. Manage equipment performance, spare part management and warranty follow‑up. Manage relevant support contracts. Ensure performance standards are accurate and adhered to via the Inspection, Test and Maintenance programme. Assure regulatory compliance, adhere to standards and implement industry best practice. Act as JRE to the Shutdown manager for HTAS Mechanical Shutdown work and special assignments. Provide support to Maintenance Leads. Qualifications HNC in Engineering or equivalent industry experience. Professional accreditation with proven experience and competency. Extensive knowledge of Maintenance and Operations activities on H2S Plants. Considerable relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, predominantly gained in Design, Construction, Commissioning, Close‑Out, Production Operations and Maintenance environments. Good working knowledge and application of UK oil and gas industry regulations. Familiarity with quality processes and continuous improvement tools is desirable. Knowledge of all forms of engineering documentation. Extensive knowledge of Control Systems, F&G, ESD Foundation, Field Bus PLC’s. Perform DCS Configuration Modifications to approved MOC.
