Lansglade Homes Limited currently haver an exciting opportunity for a Care Home Administrator, based in one of our Nursing Homes in Bedford.

OVERALL PURPOSE
- To provide administration support to the Home Manager
- To provide administration support and assistance to all nursing and care staff
- To act as a representative for the company and greet residents, relatives and professional staff who visit the home in a timely and professional manner.
- To have a flexible approach and be readily available to support other homes within the group as requested by the senior management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- To maintain confidentiality at all times and comply with the rules and regulations of the Data Protection Act and the company’s own Policies and Procedures.
- To comply with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation including Fire Precautions and Moving and Handling Guidance.
- To greet all visitors to the Home in a pleasant and courteous manner, and to ensure that they meet with the appropriate resident or staff member.
- To be responsible for answering the telephone and ensuring that all incoming calls are handled in a courteous and efficient manner and that all messages are delivered to the right person.
- To handle incoming mail and ensure that it is promptly distributed within the Home, as required. To promptly handle all outgoing mail.
- To be available to take minutes for both Beacon House and Annandale Lodge as requested by the Home Managers and the Operations Manager.
- To order, store and distribute uniform as per company policy.
- To take stock of the stationary and order new supplies as needed. Ensure the nurses’ station is adequately stocked with relevant forms on a weekly basis and all charts are removed and replaced as requested by the Home Manager.
- To complete all archiving in a timely manner.
- To assist the activity co-ordinator with printing and design of posters.
- To assist the Home Manager with filing and general administration duties.
- To conduct a daily walk around the home and ensure all rooms present as clean and in good repair. Report findings and any concerns to the Home Manager.
- To ensure all vacant rooms are of show standard and ready to be viewed by potential residents and or their families. Liaise with Mrs N Esmail as necessary.
- To be available at the Home Managers request to show potential residents and or their families around the home.
- To provide administration support for Annandale Lodge each Thursday between the hours of 9am and 1.30pm.
- To accept deliveries for the home, distribute to relevant recipients and complete Care Shop orders for all homes.
- To undertake other duties as necessary to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the home.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.50-£12.00 per hour
