Account Manager New Business

This is a career defining opportunity working for the events and catering arm of our client who are a UK giant in live events (spanning live music, sports, exhibitions, conferences and more). They held over 700 events last year attended by over 4 millionpeople. The role of Account Manager/Sales is to maintain clients within the events and catering business as well as creating new sales for both the events and meetings market. This position is a key member of the Events Team.
On a day-to-day basis you'll be strenghtening relationships with clients to secure repeat business in addition to looking for opportunities to increase their spend. You'll also be identifying prospects within the local stand-alone banqueting market and formulatinga plan to establish contact and initial discussions - related to this you will also work with the Head of Marketing developing an annual marketing programme to generate leads for this space.
- Proven track-record in a client focused sales role in the events, food or beverage industries
- Solid network in the events and hospitality sector
- Previous operational experience in hospitality/events is a huge bonus for this role
- Full driving licence and own car
You'll be based from Birmingham but will need to be open to travelling to clients and prospects
