**Financial Reporting Manager**

**Base Location - Flexible - Maximum of 2 days a week in Coventry**

Following an internal promotion, we are looking to recruit a qualified (ideally ACA from Top 10 firm) into the team. The Financial Reporting Team is a dynamic team that supports the Board and Audit Committees as well as other key stakeholders by providingprompt and accurate information to enable effective decision making for the business. Reporting into the Head of Financial Reporting you'll hold a core role within this team.

As Financial Reporting Manager you'll ensure that all statutory, regulatory and accounting is delivered within the required deadlines and that a robust control environment is maintained to ensure the reporting is accurate.

**Accountabilities;**
- Delivery of statutory reporting for 13 legal entities
- Review monthly reporting performed by the team using consolidation tools
- Lead the monthly balance sheet review process as part of monthly consolidation.
- Manage the external audit process, including the external audit of financial returns submitted to Ofgem and the banks, resolving queries and issues raised by auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead the financial reporting team of four in key Group accounting areas
- Assist the high-quality documenting of end-to-end processes and controls to meet Regulatory compliance requirements

**Experience required;**
- Prior exposure to running a Financial Reporting team or large audit team
- Prior exposure to Consolidation systems and/or accounting system (SAP)
- Experience of preparing high-quality Financial Reporting
- Working knowledge of accounting and reporting pronouncements (including UK GAAP and IFRS)
- Governance, risk and internal control frameworks
- Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels both internal and external to a business
- Ability to clearly communicate to senior management on complex technical matters
- Good presentations skills and skills in report writing
- Ability to manage risk, understand in-depth financial information and have commercial acumen that can be used to make meaningful insights to drive business growth in a safe and transparent environment
- An understanding of the commercial and risk impact of any actions and the appropriate business
