**Job summary**:
This is an exciting opportunity for three individuals with an interest in Acquisition Safety & Environmental management to join an established team working on varied projects within Defence Digital.

These posts provide the opportunity to develop into an Acquisition Safety & Environmental Officer. Specialist training is available, with mentoring towards your professional development in the Safety and Environmental Arena.

These roles may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice. These positions are advertised at 37 hours per week

**Job description**:
Working within an experienced Acquisition Safety & Environmental (ASE) Team, responsible for undertaking ASE management activities on projects within Tactical Systems or Strategic Connectivity governed through an established Management System.

ASE Officers work within a team which provides assurance to the team leader across all ASE Management activities.

**Person specification**:
The job role activities include (but are not limited to):

- Assisting in ASE corporate reporting to Defence Digital.
- Management of ASE status spreadsheet.
- Management of ASE training spreadsheet.
- Management of equipment related incident spreadsheet.
- Assisting in internal audits and the hosting of external audits.
- Attending ASE meetings, to cover ASE reviews and incident management.
- Developing and maintaining ASE artefacts.
- Providing secretarial duties to the projects ASE meetings.
- Providing advice on safety and environmental policy and process to stakeholders.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience or understanding of risk management.
- Experience of managing documentation.
- Ability to analyse and interpret source information in the production of documentation.
- Experience of stakeholder management.
- Experience of maintaining management / corporate information.
