This is a part time role, perfect for an outgoing person who enjoys events and would like to develop their experience running them.

**What the job entails**:

- arriving at the venue half an hour before the event starts to 'set up'
- this involves chatting with the staff at the venue, putting a conversation card at each guests seat and setting up the games table (games provided)
- greeting guests and helping them settle into the space
- laying out the quiz sheets (packs provided)
- rotating guests round to different tables so they meet everyone at the event
- encouraging guests to choose a game from the games station in the second part of the evening
- clearing away the quiz sheets and any rubbish that may have accumulated
- keeping an eye on guests and making sure everyone is ok
- adjusting the seating arrangements to ensure people are best placed to enjoy themselves

**Skills needed for this role**:

- strong interpersonal skills
- confidence in meeting large groups of new people
- empathy to the fact that many are nervous attending singles nights
- time keeping skills; it's crucial that the events run smoothly
- professionalism (you will be running the event, rather than taking part in it)

Prior experience is not needed for this role It's the right skills and attitude that we're really looking for.

**The recruitment and training process will run as follows**:

- an online interview (video call) to get to know you better
- you will shadow the founder running an event to begin and then co-run one to build your confidence (this is paid at £11.50 an hour)
- you will run an event by yourself but with the founder on call & available to come to the venue if needed (£20 an hour from this point onwards)
