Hays Social Care are looking for experienced Outreach Support Workers to support a client in Belfast. Your new company Hays Social Care are working with a value led charity in Belfast who do amazing work helping those affected by Homelessness. This organisationput their clients at the heart of what they do whilst advocating a safe and supportive environment for their staff. They started out as a small business in 2002 and are now a significant organisation making an impact in the homeless community across NorthernIreland and the South. Your new role This Organisation provides advice and support to people struggling with homelessness within the community. This is a permanent role, reporting to the local management team. You will be providing on the ground support toservice users and encouraging them to actively manage their own lives. The organisation prides themselves in addressing all aspects of living support not only with the emotional support but ensuring their physical wellbeing. Our client offers comprehensivetraining when you join their team to equip you with the correct tools to hit the ground running, providing care and support to this marginalised group. What you'll need to succeed You will require 3 GCSE's (including Maths and English) or equivalent. StrongICT skills are desirable as you must have the ability to compile and present written and computerised reports. It is essential that you have quality communication skills and perform well as part of a team. It is required that you have a sound understandingof health and safety in a residential setting and can exhibit an understanding with alcohol or drug related issues. It is imperative that you are aware of relevant statutory and voluntary agencies and know how to appropriately liaise with staff while maintainingintegrity and practicing the code of conduct and confidentiality. It is a 24-hour facility, so roles will be split between day and night, with support provided round the clock therefore you will be expected to be open to rotating shifts. NISCC Registrationis a prerequisite. What you'll get in return - £19,019 Per Annum - 35 hours per week - Days, Evenings and Weekend - 25 days annual leave plus 10 statutory holidays - Ongoing development of skills e.g. MAPA, Health & Safety, Child Protection and First Aid training
