We’re looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial individual with 3 years’ experience in Corporate Finance, Transaction Services or Audit to join our growing and dynamic team.

Working alongside the Group’s senior leadership team, you will assist with the identification, assessment and execution of acquisitions and related projects as the group continues to expand.

The main duties of the role are:

- Developing a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the education sector.
- Researching and identifying potential acquisition opportunities.
- Analysing financial statements, management information and market data to identify risks and opportunities and focus areas for due diligence.
- Project managing transactions, including liaising with external advisers and due diligence providers.
- Reviewing due diligence findings, summarising these and identifying areas for further investigation.
- Preparing financial models, benchmarking operating assumptions to historical data, and commenting on the suitability of the underlying assumptions.
- Reviewing legal documents such as sale and purchase agreements and completion accounts, particularly in respect of the apportionment of working capital.
- Preparing presentations for the Board summarising opportunities, risks and due diligence findings.
- Coordinating the preparation of post-acquisition action plans and monitoring and reporting on their implementation.
- Tracking and reporting on activity in the sector.
- Maintaining meticulous records in the Group’s online data room, including ensuring data security.

Familiarity with the education sector would be beneficial, but is not a pre-requisite. The key attributes sought are a highly-organised, analytical approach, strong numeracy and presentation skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
